Join in a Tees Valley learning walk and see how Global Learning can improve pupil outcomes

Get involved with the Tees Valley learning walk initiative and see how you can develop excellent ideas and skills for the classroom!

Teachers and Teaching Assistants from local schools are invited to take part in learning walks which will take place in Middlesbrough and the wider Tees Valley area with the aim of learning some practical ideas on how to improve outcomes for pupils through Global Learning.

Sessions will start with refreshments from 9am-10:30am which will be followed by the learning walk which will take place across the school grounds to see how Global Learning can improve pupil outcomes.

There will also be the opportunity to talk to staff and find out about some practical ideas to improve areas such as writing and promoting a broad and balanced curriculum.

Participating schools:

Monday 18th June at Christ the King Primary in Thornaby. Focus: writing and outdoor learning through Global Learning.

Tuesday 19th June at The Village Primary in Thornaby. Focus: critical thinking through Global Learning.

Wednesday 20th June at St. Bede’s in Marske. Focus: Floor books and displays.

Thursday 21st June at Corpus Christi in Middlesbrough. Focus: writing through Global Learning.

Friday 22nd June at St. Clare’s Primary in Middlesbrough. Focus: broad and balanced curriculum through Global Learning.

To book a visit on any of the learning walks, email Mrs Eddies (Head Teacher at St. Clare’s Primary) and state the school you would like to visit and the person attending. There are no limits to how many staff and all events are free.
