Teesside University are offering two new modules focusing on assessment in infant mental health: 

>      Assessment in Infant Mental Health ( 20 credits / degree level)

>      Advancing Assessment in Infant Mental Health (20 credits / master’s level)

These modules are suitable for anyone with an active interest and want to learn more about assessment in infant mental health and promoting improved outcomes for children and young people.

 You will explore the current political context and drivers focusing on the promotion of mental health in children and young people. Topic include:

§  Nurturing parenting in the early years

§  Infant brain development

§  Multi-cultural issues

§  Mindfulness in the early years

§  Holistic assessment of infant mental health

 The modules are delivered over 10 weeks starting on May 2 2018. The delivery is through a blended approach incorporating distance learning and in-class seminar and practical teaching.
