Helping children and young people to regulate their emotions
May 17, 2018 @ 3:30 pm - 5:45 pm| £50.00
Led by Lucy Hargan : Art Psychotherapist BAAT
Children with attachment and sensory integration difficulties can often struggle to self regulate.
You may notice differences between children who are able to sit for longer periods of time in comparison to
those who you might observe to be fidgety, looking about the classroom or struggling to concentrate. The
central nervous system can help us to understand why children need to maintain and change their awareness
levels in order to complete different tasks.
This workshop will help those working in the classroom enhance their skills alongside learning simple exercises
that can be employed by the child or young person to help them manage any overwhelming feelings and
behaviours. Please come prepared for an interactive workshop, you will also receive information to take away
with you on the day to share with your team.
