The Achieving Two Year Old entitlement was introduced in two phases in the September of 2013 and 2014 and offers up to 15 hours free early learning for least advantaged two year olds.
In Middlesbrough our focus is on providing quality provision that best meets the needs of the two year olds and their families and reaching and engaging eligible families so that they know about their entitlement and are able to easily access it when they need to.
The spring term take up was 92%. This means that we have 92% of the most disadvantaged two year olds taking up their funded place with a good or outstanding childminder, day nursery or school.
