St Edward’s RC Primary School in Middlesbrough has been named the best state-funded primary school in Teesside and the surrounding area, according to the Real Schools Guide 2018.

Another Middlesbrough school, Archibald Primary School, was listed as the fifth best.

The guide, compiled by Trinity Mirror’s data unit, aims to give a more comprehensive picture than traditional league tables as it takes into account 44 different data points, including not just KS2 results but factors like progress, pupil-teacher ratios and absence rates.

This is a great achievement for both St Edward’s RC and Archibald, and we look forward to seeing many more Middlesbrough schools included in the top ten in the future.
