Middlesbrough promise have announced Peter Bowstead as the winner of the Extreme Reading Competition.

Peter has won a family of 4 tickets to the Middlesbrough vs. Aston Villa game on the 1st December and a children’s book bundle.

To promote the importance of reading, the Middlesbrough Promise asked all adults to get caught reading in extreme places.

‘Extreme readers’ were asked to send photos of them reading in weird and wonderful places to be in with the chance of winning the prize bundle.

The Middlesbrough Promise is being led by the Learning Middlesbrough partnership and the National Literacy Trust Middlesbrough Hub and aims to raise the overall literacy levels of children in the town and improve the life chances of Middlesbrough children by encouraging them to read more.
